Place of discovery: NY 1887 7229
Present location: built into an outhouse in the grounds of Kirklands House.
Evidence for discovery: found by RCAHMS during fieldwork in August 1993, built into a woodshed.
Present condition: broken and worn.
Description
This fragment is carved with parts of two panels divided by a plain roll moulding. The larger panel contains multiple-strand interlace with a diagonal strand.

Field Visit (24 August 1993)
Incorporated in fabric within the policies of Kirklands House (formerly Hoddom Manse: NY17SE 73), there are two sculptured stones:
NY17SE 61.01 1887 7229 A fragment of Anglian interlace.
NY17SE 61.02 1883 7228 Part of a slab bearing the incised outline of a halberd.
