(Kirkpatrick-Fleming, Cross no. 1). This poorly-designed cross is worked in low relief and set into the W gable of the bothy above the kitchen garden at the back of the house. It probably formerly measured about 6ft (1.83m) by up to 1ft 9ins (0,53m) and tapered towards the foot. Although difficult to date, it is probably not older than the 13th century.

Field Visit (29 August 1993)
A Maltese cross is carved in low relief on a slab (measuring 0.29m by 0.33m) which is incorporated into the W gable of the kitchen bothy of Kirkpatrick House (NY27SE 23) 1.29m above ground level. It has probably been a consecration cross and is similar in character to another which has been incorporated into the Graham Aisle to the W of the present Kirkpatrick-Fleming parish church (NY27SE 27).
