Note
A township comprising one unroofed building, three partially roofed buildings, two of which are long buildings and the third is L-shaped, twenty-seven roofed buildings, six of which are long buildings, one is L-shaped and one is T-shaped, one unroofed structure and six enclosures is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Argyllshire, Island of Tiree etc 1882, sheet lxv). Of the roofed buildings, one is annotated as a Hotel and another as a Post Office.
Thirty-nine roofed buildings and ten enclosures are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1976).
