Scope and Content Architectural fragment from Corrie Old Parish church, Dumfries and Galloway The site of the medieval parish church of Corrie lies due east of Corriehills steading. Although the church no longer exists, the burial-ground contains medieval and post-medieval gravestones amongst the 18th- and 19th-century headstones. This piece of stone once formed part of the tracery from a window in the medieval church. A groove, or rebate, designed to hold glass, shows that the windows of the church were once glazed. The medieval parish of Corrie was amalgamated with Hutton in 1609. The site continued to be used for burials into the 19th century. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
