Plan of farmstead at Clerkhill Burn, Dumfries and Galloway The remains of this previously undocumented farmstead lie on a gently sloping terrace on the north-west side of Clerkhill Burn, situated some 900m north-west of Clerkhill steading. On plan, the steading appears well ordered, with three rectangular buildings arranged around a yard accompanied by the remains of a large building on the west. The section of stony bank on the south-west indicates the steading may have been enclosed. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
